I have for sale an early 50's Fender tweed case. 100% original and in excellent condition. Case is structurally very sound and sturdy without any cracks, water damage or delamination as is common with cases this old. All latches and hinges are intact and work as they should. The bakelite part of the handle is a little loose in the metal handle frame, but still works as it should and could likely be tightened. The metal part of the handle is intact and very sturdy. The plush red lining is in excellent condition and has not separated from the shell as it often does in old cases. There is a hinged storage area for the legs with both leather tabs with snaps intact and in good working order. The tweed covering is in excellent condition with a beautiful amber color and very little wear and zero rips or bald spots. Some of the leather trim at one end is missing but overall condition is excellent.

I believe this case is for an early to mid 50's Fender Dual Professional Steel Guitar.

The inside dimensions are approximately 29 1/4" x 12 3/4". It tapers from approximately 4 1/2" deep along the hinge to approx 3 1/2" along the front. I will be happy to provide more detailed information and pictures upon request.

Price is $200 plus actual shipping, Paypal gift or add 3%.

Did some checking and my 51 triple neck is about 17 across so I'm thinking Toms case must be for a double neck or something.

I have done some research and now realize this case is for an early 50's Fender Dual Professional steel.

I apologize for the confusion. I am not a steel player...I joined the forum in order to list these cases I acquired.

I will edit the listing to correct the information.
