Super fun oldie but goody! Lap steel solo starts at 1:04
I am loving these old Standards from the 1920's and 1930's.
They lay out well on any 6th tuning.

Dom, very nice as usual. What diameter and length bar do you use on the 13 string lap steel? Thanks.

Nice lead playing!
Hey Dom,
What is the story of that tune you have up, "this world is not my home"..
I was expecting the ol gospel one, but this is more like Eagles meets the Random Sample. (The Random Sample was a youth Christian band back in the day from S. Cal.)

Ron; This world is not my Home was a tribute to the late Randy Rigby, the Lead Guitarist in the Band "Bethlehem" (A Christian Country Rock group in the 1970's)

C.E. Jackson,
My go-to bar is 1" dia. and 3.75" long. It wont cover all 13 strings at once, and since there are "re-entrant" strings you would never want to strum all at once anyway.

The re-entrant strings allow some easier fast picking of close intervals (minor 2nd etc.)

Check out the link below for an example of this, starting at 1:08.

Dom, thanks for the reply. I use a 1" dia. and 3.25" long bar(made by Roy Thomas) for 7, 8, and 10 string steels.

Occasionally, I use a 1" dia. and 3.75" long Dunlop Sitar bar for special effects.
