I just won this on Ebay. Its clearly a Goodrich pedal, but has a transfer on the front saying "Rayrich" (in matching script). Does anyone know anything about this, or is it likely a one-off custom/personalisation job?

Looks like a sticker slapped on a 120

My guess is, some guy named Ray found a print shop to match the font and make him a sticker Smile
(What does the script in red say? It's kinda blurry to me, something something by Ray I'm guessing)

I can't read the red script either, except the last word "Ray". I'll post a better picture when it arrives here in Australia in a few weeks time

Hmmm...I think there's certainly a possibility that changing or altering the trademark on an item, and then selling said item, would constitute fraud or infringement. (This is especially true if the font was custom-designed for Goodrich.) It may be "cutesy", but I wouldn't advise people to do this sort of thing, as people are very touchy these days about copyright issues. Winking

It WAS advertised as a Goodrich, and it's still got the Goodrich info on the underside, so I don't think any misleading was intended

I'm just hoping the original goodrich transfer is still under there and undamaged!

I believe this to be a pedal from an estate sale, that was advertised, earlier in the year..?

You're welcome, Jeremy.
I think Donny's concerns are valid, however, I seriously doubt that Ray cares one bit!?

Yeah. Donny's point totally valid (and one of my pet hates - especially in the effects pedal world) but this one was advertised as a Goodrich. It appears Ray may have been a bit of a character

OK - it has arrived. It is a standard L-120, a nice pedal. It has a range of movement (at the front of the pedal) about half way between my Ernie Balls and my recently aquired Dekley Low-boy - which is a lovely vintage cool-looking unit, but maybe a bit too low-profile for me. I used the Goodrich last night at rehearsals, and felt totally comfortable with it straight away.

The small writing on the front says "Custom Rebuild by Ray". And underneath is scratched the date 12-06-02, which I know in the American tradition means 6th December, but in the English/Australian tradition means 12th June - which is my birthday (another good omen!)

I have emailed Goodrich to ask for a replacement Goodrich transfer for the front of the pedal, but no response as yet.
