Has any members ever heard of a Steelaire amplifier. It is suppose to weigh 35 lbs, has 200 watts, with a 15" speaker, and is made to handle the steel guitar very well. I am looking on maybe getting one, but have never heard of them. Thanks for any help. _________________ Zum U-12, Carter SDU-12, Zum Encore, Emmons S-10, Emmons D-10, Nashville 400, Two Peavey Nashville 112, Boss Katana 100, Ibanez DD700, Almost every Lesson Jeff Newman sold. Jim, Steelaire is a great amp, built by Pat Quilter of QSC sound systems, check out demo of amp by Albert Svenndal on YouTube. _________________ MSA Millenium SD10, GK MB200, Sica 12inch cab, Joyo American Sound Pedal/ Jay Ganz Straight Ahead amp, Telonics 15inch in Peavey cab, Digitech RP150, Peterson tuner.Hilton volume pedal.Scott Dixon seat and guitar flight case. |

Thanks Malcolm, after posting this, I saw the article on the internet for the forum, and it took me to Gregs website. It was very interesting and I think I'm going to invest in one. I am really impressed by the weight and watts. It's really hard to believe this. I can't wait to hear it. Thanks for the info. Greg you have a very nice web site with a lot of information. I guess your about 1 1/2 hour from me. I had a brother-in-law that opened a Sehman Tire Store there in Corry around the mid to late sixty's. Not sure if it's still there or not. _________________ Zum U-12, Carter SDU-12, Zum Encore, Emmons S-10, Emmons D-10, Nashville 400, Two Peavey Nashville 112, Boss Katana 100, Ibanez DD700, Almost every Lesson Jeff Newman sold. Hi Jim,
Here is a link to Albert's youtube video.

I have played with Albert many times while he was using this amp and it is a great sounding amp in a small, light package.

I've had one for around two years and I like it.
Go to the link below where you can hear me and the Quilter. The video was recorded with an Ipad about 15 feet from the bandstand. The amp was not mic'd.

Sounded excellent. I'd give anything to be back living in Germany. _________________ Zum U-12, Carter SDU-12, Zum Encore, Emmons S-10, Emmons D-10, Nashville 400, Two Peavey Nashville 112, Boss Katana 100, Ibanez DD700, Almost every Lesson Jeff Newman sold.
