I have a Session 400 that has a nasty hum/buzz if I turn up any reverb. The pots are pretty clean and I unplugged the connectors to the reverb tank and lightly sanded the male ends. Still the buzz. Any ideas? Is my reverb unit shot?
Thanks

Me too. I guess I am thinking of sending my Session 400 back to Peavey.
I have had mine repaired locally several times in 4 to 6 months it just comes back?
I have cleaned up all the Molex connectors and it seems to have helped a little bit. However it still seems to make a strange noise when I turn it on and off |

I also have a session 400 that the reverb send does not work. I have changed the reverb and it still will not work. Need to send it back to Mike Brown at Peavey to be looked at. Dadgimmit. I sent the amp to peavey a couple years ago cause it was blowing fuses. They fixed that but now this reverb problem. _________________ GFI Ultra, Gibson, and Fender. |

Will a reverb tank from my Nashville 400 work in the Session 400 ? _________________ Franklin D10 Stereo - 8 and 6 - Black Box-Zum Encore 4 and 5 Nashville 400,Session 400, DD3 for delay ,also Benado Effects pedal.

Thats a good question, Ron. I have a NV 400 too and the reverb works fine. I thought about putting its reverb tank in the Session 400 to see what happens, but I am hesitant. Don't want to mess up the amp that works.

You may send your chassis only w/ reverb pan and harness to;
Peavey Service Center
Attn; Repair Department
412 Hwy. 80 East
Meridian, MS 39301
Place a note of symptoms and your daytime phone number in with your amp. You will be contacted when the repair is complete. It usually does not take more than an hour to repair these older models, but if you wish to be contacted with an estimate "before" the repair, be sure to include that with you amp. Otherwise, it will be repaired and you will be contacted with a total. |

Thanks Ken. That's good to know.
Thanks Mike. I sent this thing to you guys a couple three years ago because it was blowing fuses. But the last time I used it, there were no problems. I haven't fired it up in a while or even moved it, so how could something go wrong? _________________ GFI Ultra, Gibson, and Fender. |
