I'm using a stock single coil, which I like,
EQ wise , I find it a little more vintage or classic sounding than my BL 705
on my other guitar,
On a Legrande III SD10 |

Asa most people I see on here and around say they like stock Emmons the best with true tones a close second. |

Quentin,
Yes, you are correct.
I usually order or replace the pickups on my pedal steels with TruTones except for the Emmons.
On those, I stay with the originals. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

I'm using Bill Lawrence XR-16's on both necks of my Legrande, because I like them. |

I am a "humbucker" guy.
I have the original Emmons 108's on my 1993 LeGrande.
Would not change them for anything. _________________ AUTHORIZED PEAVEY, George L's, Goodrich dealer. I have 2 steels and several amps. My current rig of choice is 1993 Emmons LeGrande w/ 108 pups (Jack Strayhorn built for me), Goodrich OMNI Volume Pedal, George L's cables and Peavey Nashville-Session 112 or 115. |
