How can shorten the travel on my Marlen all pull?

Move the pullrods farther away from the shaft on the bellcrank. This will make them stiffer and shorter.

You may or may not have to adjust the pedal travel stops after you change the rodding

Just keep in mind that you may run into a THICKER string requiring the extra travel to reach pitch, for ex 10 and 5 for the A Pedal. String 10 needs a longer pull than string 5.

Also: RE; PED C, raising the 4th to F# as well, thats a long pull .

It's a balance , not just for the pulls but for Pedal feel and relationships to each other.

What Tony said...Also closer to the shaft on the changer, it's a balancing thing.

....and also don't forget the basic physics of leverage: as you shorten the distance of any given change, you will also increase its stiffness.
