One of the real advantages for me of playing a U-12 is the ability to have more scale options when playing single note solos.

I find when I need to play bluesy single note scales I tend to use A&B to get an A6 tuning. Especially when I'm playing power chord distorted solos. I tend to use a lot more bar movement to try and emulate slide guitar licks.

When I'm playing jazzier or swing non-distorted licks I like to use the B6 side and more pedals slightly less bar movement.

That doesn't mean I always use this method there are times when I may even reverse this or combine the two ideas to get the desired musical effect.

Any opinions or thoughts?
