Paul can you tell me exactly what gear you used when making the C6th courses you currently have for sale.

I hear a real even body or texture between the highs and the lows, by that the highs are not shrill and the lows are not muddy. This is more than just an amp setting.

I hear an edge to the midrange like a tele or a strat, through a tube pre amp.

How much of this even glassyness is the amp and speaker combination?

You said once that the Franklin guitar was made for recording, how much of this is the guitar and how much is the pickup?

This is a good start, don't you think?

(For those who have not heard these new CD's the tone and cleanliness are worth the money even if there were not licks to learn. Also listen to Paul's intonation you WILL NOT BELIEVE YOUR EARS.)

You know I am a gear head when I get more excited about the tone and execution than the material.

Larry,

My lesson CD's were recorded through a countryman direct box into a mackie board into a Tascam D88 so that I could talk and play without getting a strange transparency caused by an Amp bleeding into a vocal mic. So all you are hearing is the steel flat through the board.
