JR.
I think #26xx would put it in a 1983/4 range. That's an semi-educated guess. I'm sure an emmons expert may chime in and help.
Kind Regards,
Mark

And right you are Damir, It really does not matter. It looks perfect and I am sure it will sound like an Emmons should. In fact it almost looks brand new. OH, How nice it would be to roll back 10 or 15 years and know what I do now about these guitars. I had always heard there is nothing that sounds like an Emmons and now I know, I own one. My Thanks To The Good Lord. J.R.

Agree that it looks like a really nice guitar but to be an 83/84 model, I would expect it to have the LeGrande style pedals.

late 70's? Tuners and serial number should be around 78-79?

That guitar looks like a mid-late 70s guitar to me.

If it was an early 80's guitar, it would have a serial number in the 6000 series, Sperzl tuners, and most probably extruded LeGrande pedals. There is a 1986 SD10 PP here in Forumland with a 2XXX number but undoubtedly was made with NOS PP endplates saved from the 1970s.
