Check out ebay item # 3756295795 and see what has gone up to $ 766.25. Truly amazing but kinda sad!

Truly amazing, and sad. Would love to hear what that neck pickup sounds like, though, but not enough to actually buy the thing.[This message was edited by Jim Phelps on 24 October 2004 at 03:42 PM.] |

Thanks for the link Jim! Too bad those bidders don't know you could but a used MSA, EMCI, Deckley or even a brand new Carter starter for less money. Oh and $ 75. shipping? I shipped a 70# MSA D-10 for less than 40 bucks. [This message was edited by Dave O'Brien on 24 October 2004 at 04:13 PM.] |

Note that we require people who drive traffic to their EBay auctions through the Forum to pay the Forum a 2.5% finders fee if the auctioned item is bought by a Forum member. |
Now, I know that Dave isn't the seller, but I really don't like giving the practice of giving free publicity to Ebay actions in our Classified Ads section. This section should be reserved for Forum members to sell their instruments.

come on Bob - the whole point is to NOT promote this fiasco! I'm hoping the bidders will log on. |

Ugh. A guy at a store in Texas tried to sell me one of those the other day for $650. The pedals didn't even work. He told me that Sho~Bud's are in high demand. Ha! I've been warned about this particular model.
BTW, Something else that's pretty funny on Ebay. Someone selling Buddy Emmons strings obviously doesn't know who Buddy Emmons is.

You won't mind, then, if I move it from our "For Sale: Instruments" section to "Pedal Steel", where a discussion about the price of junk instruments is more appropriate. |

ok BOB I think you've beat me up enuf over this post. My intent only being to take a light hearted view of the eBay mentality to pay too much for garbage instead of buying from a pro. Having been a Sho-Bud and Emmons dealer since 1972 it pains me to see people pay good money for junk like this eBay ad. Guess your sense of humor has gone out like light a light.Lighten up man! Please close this thread. |
