| Can anyone tell me how to find these strings on the forum. I don't know if this is the right place to post this request or not. Doug Ernest recommended these string as a upgrade for a Stage-one I purchased for my husband. Any advice? |

What a nice wife. I'm hinting around for my girlfriend to buy me the ZB SD10 that Damir Besic has for sale.
There will probably be posts about what that player's preference in strings. Listen to Doug. Jagwires are great strings.

| I ordered some Jagwire strings from their website a few days ago. Haven't received them yet, but I hope I really like them. If I like them, I'm not going to be ordering any more of the strings I normally use. |

| I put some of the Lloyd Green strings from Jagwire on my Stage One and am quite happy with them. They sound fine, and seem to last longer than other brands. |

| And more than likely, no snarky remarks from the folks who run the business. That's the reason I'm switching to Jagwires from another well known brand. I ordered some last week and they arrived yesterday. Now to put them on and play them. |

22w is a wound string
22 is plain |

Wound strings sound better (to most of us) than plain.
Wound strings resist "cabinet drop" better than plain.
Wound strings need MUCH more finger travel to go from G# to F# or from G# to A.
If your guitar is set up for wound 6th, converting to plain will result in a "notchy" feel after you adjust the tuning nuts.
If your guitar is set up for a plain 6th, converting to a wound will require adjusting either the bellcranks or the stops.

In fact, on many (not all) guitars, the changer finger can't travel enough to lower a wound 22 to F#. Not a problem if you don't have/want that change. |

| Doug would not have recommended a 22w if a stage-one would not support it would he. I hope not because I ordered 2 sets. Thank you all for the info. I really thank you all for advising my wife when she bought this guitar for me. I guess I will have to just try it and see. |

I've not looked at the Stage One copedent in awhile, but I thought it raised 7 instead of lowering 6.

The 6th string isn't lowered on that model of guitar.

| Started using the Jagwire nickel wound strings on my Mullen this year. Used Earnie Ball nickel plated for years. Very comparable to the Earnie Balls. The Jagwire strings have great tone on the big strings and the small ones. Recommended to me by Ricks Davis. Great recommendation. Thanks again guys!!! |
