I've never seen Herb playing pedals before. Amazing!

Herb plays a D10 with a 3/5 pedal/knee setup. His tuning is still A6 and he used to make them himself. Since I live in Houston, where Herb's shop is located, I visited there several times. Back 15 years ago, Herb persuaded me to buy one of his guitars with his setup and he would give me lessons on it. Then his machinist got cancer and Herb had to stop production. I ended up buying a Carter as my first pedal steel.
Herb's copedant is shown here on the Forum under "unusual codedants"
