Guys, this is a closet steel. Best I can ascertain is its a 1986 model and in nearly new condition. It's a welded frame and I can find no descernable marks on it. Emmons setup. It was played very little, obviously. It came with Barcus Berry pickups but I changed them out for E-66 which really brings out the tone and sustain on this gem! The push button switches still work although sometimes one has to be pushed 2 or 3 times to stay engaged but it does work fine. As you can see from the pics all of the chrome shines nicely and the pedals look brand new. 2 extra bell cranks are also included. Asking $2700 shipped in the lower 48 only please.
Thanks,
Dave

Joey, thank you for the kind words Buddy!
Dale, I looked in the closet and there it was!
Damir, it's about as close to new as you can get in a guitar 30 years old.
Paddy, I think it was one of your previous posts with the serial number and year model that I was able to determine the year model of this one. These old MCI's do indeed have a very amazing and unique tone as you already know.
Thanks guys!

Hi David yes mate they are great guitars, I still have mine, although it is undergoing a refurb - at my leisurely pace :-} It was my main guitar for about 18 years till I got my first Zum.
I got the guitar on 8th April 1986 :-} _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9

The best guitars ever made in my opinion are MCI and EMCI. Whoever gets this beauty is going to have a real tone monster. David, I pray you find it a good home.

Tommy, thanks! Tough market so I've lowered the price again to $2800 shipping included in the lower 48 for a excellent MCI.
I've been asked the difference between RangeXpander and the EMCI and the only thing I've been able to find is the EMCI had a tack weld placed on the changer. This is the model just before the name changed.
Thanks,
Dave |

David, I have an EMCI. The guitar was a custom build for Ron Elliott. I traded my Emmons push pull for it. It is such an easy playing guitar. And the tone is out of this world.
Ron has talked to me several times about wanting the guitar back.

Lot of emails about the MCI but still available. I know it's a tough economy right now so last price drop to $2700 shipping included in the lower 48.
Thanks,
