Sho-Bud Pull Rod Retainers

I've recently acquired a Sho-Bud Super Pro and need some original or similar pull rod retainers, i.e. the little clip that holds the pull rod to the cross shaft bell crank. Anyone know a source?

The auto choke linkage retainer clip from late 50s/60 chevys is what Sho Bud used on them. Any older auto supply store should have them. I once went to Advance Auto Parts and axed

for some of them. They asked me everything except what color car it was for and finally I told them I didn't need it for a car but a steel guitar, they promptly advised that I should go to a music store as they did not sell guitar parts. Last visit to Advance Auto Parts!!
