What makes the ZBs sound so good? Is it the
pickup or the changer? I just got another
ZB. A two tone sunburst blue apron with a natural deck and blue necks D10 8&5. What a
sound and seems to be in great playing condition. The pickups have such variety and
the tone is killer. |

Chuck, Just got yer email. Your guitar is probably about 1970, built in Phoenix or possibly one of the last ones to come out of Bakersfield.
As far as sound, you already know!!!! It is the combonation of the pick-ups, changer, 3/4 maple through out and cast endplates, keyheads, and tailpieces.
Sounds like ya got a nice one!!! I got a couple here in the shop getting real close to ship back to their owners. Full restorations and they do sound sweet!!!!
