I had this S8 Clinesmith custom made for me--It's built on a 10 string body to allow for wider string spacing similar to my Stringmaster: 3/8" spacing and 2-5/8" spread at the bridge. 25" scale length. Upgraded birdseye maple, Bigsby style blade pickup with removable cover, threaded legs/sockets, boo-wah tone control--essentially all of the options. Not long after I purchased the guitar I had a hiatus from playing steel--I think it was only out of the house once, and has resided in it's Blue Heron gig bag most of it's life--so condition is basically as new. Now that I have resumed playing steel I decided I needed a D8 console Clinesmith, so want to move this one to make way. SOLD.
Thanks, Dana

Dana. That's beautiful. Is it Stringmaster spacing at both nut and bridge? Also, what is the scale length, please? _________________ To write with a broken pencil is pointless. |

Hey Tom, thanks. I measured it--the spacing is a bit wider at the nut--about 2 7/16" vs my Stringmaster's
2 1/4"--I don't really notice a difference when playing--it's really the picking hand side that matters to me(I don't get on with pedal steel spacing well). The scale length is 25".
