Nashville Steel Players - Jam at Long Hollow

I attended the steel guitar jam at Long Hollow yesterday, featuring some of Nashville's best pickers. It was a great time, and many people had the pleasure of hearing world-class music and steel playing.

I was always curious about the steel guitar culture in Nashville before I moved here, and I still am. Since I just moved here, and am discovering it day by day, I thought it'd be a good idea to start documenting it: so others around the world can learn more about it even if they can't see it in person.

As I stumble across anything neat and exciting related to pedal steel in Nashville, I will do my best to post about it and let ya'll now. I hope this helps make it less elusive for players and enthusiasts who haven't been here. Stay tuned for more about Nashville pedal steel guitar!

Thanks Barry, I really appreciate it.

I am working on lining up some in-depth interviews with professional players in the area. There's so much talent in Nashville: it would be interesting to know more about these player's stories, how they handle certain playing/recording situations, why they use certain gear and equipment, etc.

I had a blast meeting the players and fans at the jam on Sunday! Cool
