This is weissenborn #286. Getting close to 300. Anyway, I've been wanting to get a short scale built for a long time now and finally have two finished up. Here's one of them, the other has rosewood binding. Right now I have it tuned to a C6. Sounds very nice. I'm not very familiar with C6, but it's still fun to play. Very quick tone with nice volume and depth. And the tight strings over the short scale length is nice for some fast fingerpicking.
Rosewood fretboard, headstock and bridge.
Smooth Satin lacquer finish
Grover 14-1 tuners, 18-1 upgrade available for $25
22.5†Scale length
Hardshell case available - $35
Price is $800 and is kind of an introductory price for this style.
Here's the tuning and string gauges.
E 15
C 17
A 24
G 26
E 32
C 36
I finally rounded up enough strings to do it. Some of the strings were a little dead/old and some are new. The C-36 (bass) string is pretty dead and it needs to be thicker. Should sound awesome with a new 40. I was anxious to get it strung up and have new strings on the way.
Here's a quick video of it. Let me preface this by saying I'm not a professional. I am a much better mediocre guitar player than steel player. Most of my time goes to building instruments and chasing two kids around. Also the recording is off my digital camera. I'm slowly working on getting something to record a little better. The mic is actually decent for what it is. It is a very "hot" mic and doesn't represent the low end very well.

Anyway, I'll take off $50 and include shipping if anyone is interested and has the ability to make a good sounding (home studio) style clip. There is a blemish on one of the sides and there is a photo of it. Price is adjusted for the blemish.
