Added photo showing this guitar is 1 of 30 Anniversary Model guitars. If I didn't have 2 double necks that I won't part with, I'd keep it. Great tone...

Charles what makes this any different than any Legrande 2 What sets it a part from the rest just the date or is there something else. Has this always been an SD10? Some what interested in it ok.

I'm not sure I know specifically. It may just be the year, plate, and serial number. It does have a full set of compensators for every string that has a raise and lower. Not sure if that was standard. I didn't particularly add any monetary value for the "anniversary model". It's just a great sounding guitar. To my knowledge it has always been an SD-10

Quite a number of SD-10s were shipped with end-plates cut out on both necks. I know, because I had one myself which I bought new in 1998. Mine, coincidentally, was also Sapphire Blue.

ive seen a few with a block off plate on the c6

side of endplate maybe billy knowels could shed some light on that

I don't see that as a deal breaker....

ive heard the guitar a lot I use to play tele along side the steel player who owned it I tell you it has that tone for sure

The ones I have had never had compensators at all. The story goes that they just used what ever they had a lot of the time.

All ST-10 models were made with a D-10 endplate up until 98' or 99'. We started having special endplate castings at that time. I was the GM in 1994 and don't recall these anniversary models. We certainly wouldn't have placed the plaque on the front as seen in this photo.

Jack...

Do you not remember the '1 of 30' die-stamp by the s/n? It could easily have been added later so who knows?

This guitar looks nice apart from that ugly plaque. I wonder if it would come off without leaving a mark?

Sorry, I don't remember anything about a 1 of 30. Ron Sr would not have gone about it in such a manner and with my particular taste I would have never agreed to the decal/plaque configuration. At that time Ron had given me full reign and this is just not an idea I would have had. There were a very limited number of 25th year original guitars made with a very small tasteful plate and no decal. I delayed commenting because I'm not out to discredit anyone nor damage a sale.

The first time I saw this guitar was about 10 years ago and and plaque was on the guitar at that time. The original owner indicated to me he purchased the guitar from Bobbe Seymour. So if Jack states Emmons did not apply the plaque, maybe Bobbe did. I don't know. What I do know is the guitar has great tone! I'd keep the guitar if I didn't already have two double necks that I really like and my room is getting too crowded...
