Does anyone have (or know where I can find) a comprehensive list of people who've played with the Texas Troubadours?

There's a lady in my church who says her biological father played fiddle with them some time BEFORE 1950. His name was Thomas Bennie Morgan.

There's also a guy (can't remember his name, but everyone calls him Tiny) who plays bass for the Gulfport Mississippi Steel Guitar shows who says he played bass with the Troubadours in the 1970's.

I've been unable to find any list of members online, and would appreciate any help. Thanks.

If you have not checked already, Wikipedia has a bunch of info on Ernest and his Troubadours. Get out your pencil and paper, though, you will need to create your own timelines and personnel lists. Here are three to get you started:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_Tubb

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_Tubb_and_His_Texahttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_Tubbs_Troubadours

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ernest_Tubb_Story

There is more there--those just jumped out at me. A pleasant surprise: The author(s) of the first article in the list actually seemed to know something about pedal steel players and appreciate them.

HTH. Enjoy!

The Bear Family may have published a booklet which would list the recording history, you might try checking their website.
