I couldnt find a thread where this has been asked before, but I would be curious to see the various Zum Encores that you guys own. Pardon me if this has been asked before, send me a pm and I will delete the thread. BTW, I own a Stage One, but not an Encore. Curious to see the variations in color. _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp

I have often wondered. You don't see any for sale, here or on e-bay, so they must be a good one. I had a StageOne, traded for a Discovery, then bought another StageOne, still have, and now have ordered an Encore. I really like the StageOne, and I know I'll enjoy the Encore. _________________ Zum U-12, Carter SDU-12, Zum Encore, Emmons S-10, Emmons D-10, Nashville 400, Two Peavey Nashville 112, Boss Katana 100, Ibanez DD700, Almost every Lesson Jeff Newman sold. Jim, I have observed the same thing...people who have an Encore hang on to them...you rarely see one for sale...Stage Ones you see more often as people decide to get the Encore I suppose. I am thinking of putting my name on the list as well and have it set up as a C6th steel...I assume that can be done. _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp |

Larry, mine is set up as E9th.
However, I believe Doug can do up to 4 pedals and 5 knees (that is what I have). |

Jeff, thanks for that information. I sent Doug an email to find out more. _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp |

The changer seems to have plenty of throw for the Boowah pedal, etc., and there are plenty of leverage options (6-hole bell cranks and triple/triple changer).
I have a wound 6th string on my guitar, and it lowers a whole tone no problem (on a pedal).
A C6 guitar might need nut rollers with wider grooves for those fat low strings. |

I have no way of posting a picture (I'm away from home - working!) but my black Encore looks pretty much like any other.
I couldn't be more pleased with mine (#008) and, to be honest, it might be the last steel I'd ever part with. Hefting that D-10 Emmons or Tommy White's old Carter around is no joke - with the Encore I sacrifice nothing in either tone or playability with none of the back-breaking effort.
Up here in ND on my Summer gig I have the Emmons on the main stage, the Carter set up at the Pitchfork Fondue (where I play six nights out of seven) and the Zum lives in my trunk ready for the seven other sets I play weekly in downtown Medora.
It's working for its living, I promise you that. _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles and Martins - and, at last, a Gibson Super 400!
