This is a sampler for a new CD, soon to be available on cdbaby.com, iTunes, Amazon etc.
Eighteen steel guitar instrumental interpretations of contemporary Italian tunes. Italian pop tunes seem to sit particularly well on the steel guitar. A tribute to Santo and Johnny, two brothers of Italian descent, who first introduced the steel guitar to Italy in the 1960s with "Sleepwalk" and many Italian pop tune renditions. They are well remembered.
Featured are tunes made famous by several Italian artists such as Iva Zanicchi, Adriano Celentano, Raffaella Carra, Mina, Andrea Bocelli amongst many others...

Now available on cdbaby.com. Interview with Musical Web Express to follow in a few weeks.
From cdbaby:
This eighteenth album of steel guitar instrumental music focuses on the often under-valued pop music of Italy and traces forward from the music of Santo and Johnny Farina, two brothers of Italian descent born in Brooklyn, New York. Their fame spread to Italy and many other countries. “Sleepwalk†was their monumental hit, amongst several interpretations of Italian and other hits featuring the steel guitar. Italian pop music seems to sit particularly well on the steel guitar.
Buon Ascolto!
Reviews:
"When it comes to steel guitar renditions...very few guitarists can claim to have the magical touch and finesse...recommended to all guitar instrumental fans...and anyone who loves and admires memorable pop melodies" - Robert Silverstein, "Pipeline" magazine.
