I know that this is inevitably a bit subjective but what is the general consensus on these amp是?

Well, I'm obviously only 1 person, so this is anecdotal, but I like 'em. My Steelaire is my main gigging amp for steel. I've found it to be super consistent in tone, reliable and easy to transport. Mine is vanilla (I haven't swapped the speaker or anything).

YMMV of course!

I will say that my personal tone preference is for Fender amps, Twins and Bandmasters primarily. But I don't like having to maintain the tubes, and I hate hauling them. Also, the Quilter seems more consistent venue-to-venue than any Fender I've used so far.

It did take me a little while to dial in the Quilter to where I like it. Greg Cutshaw's review on his helped me out there. It's a slightly different tone than what I get with Fender amps, but it's a unique beautiful tone on its own.

I like mine. After many years with a Fender Steel King it took a while for me to get used to the Quilter, but now I'm loving it. I especially like the excellent reverb and the light weight. Plenty of volume too. It really cuts on the bandstand. When it comes time to load the car I just grab the amp and go. That's the best part.

I also like mine. As previously stated, it sounds clear & warm, is completely consistent in tone regardless of the volume, has plenty of bass and power, although I find I have to run it much higher than my Peaveys. I recently used the xlr out on a recording and it worked great.
I do find myself trying to dial it in to sound like my Session 400..it doesn't, but it comes close enough. I personally am not crazy about the reverb, but I'm in the minority. And as Doug said, I love it at the end of the night.
All that said, I prefer the sound of My Session. I'm waiting to see what the new Session 115 sounds like. If it sounds like my old Session or even a Nashville 400 I'm in. If it sounds like a Nashville 1000 or 112, I'll stick with the Quilter.

I'm loving mine. I've tried most of the major boutique amps, and own Fenders , WEBB and peavey.

All really good amps, I could live with any of them, but I prefer the steelaire to all of them. It makes throw and go jobs easy.

I like the three knob reverb, and it sounds really good to me. The dwell knob is a plus.

. It's got a very warm tone for a solid state amp. It's my grab and go winner. The powered effect feature , effects loop, and remote make for some useful options.

I had an issue with channel selector switch, and they sent me a new amp, and paid shipping on the return of mine. No questions asked. I was pleased.

The cover is very sturdy, and it has a storage pocket as well. Lots of useful features, and very light weight.

I have sold my Stereo Steel, NV400, MB200 and my Roland XL80 and now play only my Steelaires. One is a rack mount and the other is a rack mount in my custom combo cab that I built. Both Quilters run thru Emenence ESP-15S speakers and ocasionally I substitute a SICA 15 neo ........Nough said.

Had to sell my two NV400's in order to purchase it. Absolutely no regrets. Just like when the NV400's were new...you have to learn where the "sweet" settings are for your particular instrument/pickups.
The relationship keeps getting better!

I'm very happy with mine. I've always heard a certain tone in my head that I was never able to get on any amp, till I got the Steelaire.

I like the powered effects loop. I have a Dunlop Q-zone pedal, which gives a Dobro-like sound, hard-wired in. I flip a switch and voila: instant pedabro.

And I love the light weight.

I have had mine for over a year now and still in love with it I also love the reverb in it. Just this past Friday, again the guitar player turn around and said man the steel sounds great and boy were we loud.
I think my setting were around 8 and not even a hint of break-up Great Amp

I love mine...a great amp. They only missed a couple of things that would have made it perfect: delay instead of vibrato, and a ground-lift switch on the direct out. Other than that, it's a winner!

That's the one Carl. Dunlop discontinued the pedal, but there are a few floating around on E-bay and Reverb.

I would prefer to use Tom Bradshaw's reso pedal, but that requires 18 volts, and the powered effects loop is set for 9. The one improvement I'd like to see on the amp is for the loop to be switchable between 9 and 18 volts.

Tried mine out for first time at a live gig on Saturday, found it to be different from the sound I was getting in home use, took only a short time to get it sounding as I wanted, I moved from Chanel 1 to using 1+2, it certainly cut through the mix, and got good comments from other band members.

One thing that has not been mentioned is the leg mount switch box.

I tried a couple of different Quilter amps including the Steelaire .
I have to say I didn't like them . I liked the reverb control and the weight but the amps didn't seem to have any "gerth" or "balls" I could never "feel" the instrument coming through . Just my 2 cents worth .
