I have seen several references to a cajun G tuning on ebay and elsewhere.

Does anyone have a copedant chart of what this is?

Is that anything like a crawdad "D"? Or maybe a festered 19th, just kidding.

All the players that grew up in Louisiana were taught the "G cajun" tuning. When Tim Cushenbury was hosting the Cajun Steel Guitar Show, we got to hear a lot of cajun picking. It uses hammer ons and open strings, and pedals just put icing on the cake. Some players I remember are Murl Babineaoux, Richard Comeaoux, and Jr. Martin. Jody.

I always played C6th with the 1st string tuned to G.Made my Open G using the 7th pedal held down. Always was to lazy to change the copedant to G tuning. Will try to get an open G copedant worked up and and post it later. It was originally used on a swineatone( swinenett down here).
