I haven't played out much in the past 6 years but I got to try my Franklin with my new Telonics 206W pickup and it sounded great. I also used a Evans Custom 500 LV amp, Hilton Pedal and a Boss RV3.

I currently use it on E9th and have a TrueTone on C6th however, I do plan on getting another 206 for C6th Smile

Nice rig you have there Smile

Bob - the 409 is better on E9 and the 206 on C6.

At Dave Beaty's recommendation, I tried a 206 on my E9th neck on one of my Zum Hybrids. It sounds swell - there's a sweetness to the mids and highs that I really like.

I do have a 409 on my other Zum. It sounds killer. More growl and bite.

YMMV but for me, they're both great pickups and work well on either neck. Variety is the spice of life.
