I have one just like it too, but with a non-roller nut (bought here on the forum a while back.) Sounds great! Very light. Came to me set up as E9, I wonder if this one really is as well - if you tweaked the strings just a little, (leaving out the high F# and D#) then you'd have an Emmons ABCE setup, just minus the pull on the high G#.
It's an interesting setup as-is, is Texas C6 a thing? I wonder if that's kind of the genesis of it, just leaving the same pulls in place and re-tuning between E9 & C6. Then you have both tunings on one neck!
Or if you're handy with push-pulls you could move them over to the standard pedal 4-7 changes, that's my plan. |

I should say - of course Texas swing C6 is a thing! But I mean this particular setup. . . . |

It is very possible that this guitar was originally meant for e9. This is just the way it was set up when it came to me. It's seems like a weird hybrid that can play like a straight 8 with the pedals providing a "Feaux" e9. The a pedal gives a cool 7 with the b and c pedals working very simalarly to the standard e9 b and c pedals. An oddity for sure. _________________ https://youtube.com/channel/UCh1x9gTHF_Dw_sf905YZ7IQ |
