There will be a steel guitar show at The Silver Spur in Mechanic Falls, Me. on Sunday, July 31, 2016, from 1-5pm.
Featured players will be: Ronnie Miller, Lynn Owsley, Perley Curtis, and Fred Thompson.
It's part of a Country Weekend that starts on the 29th and will feature Ira Allen on Friday evening and Perley Curtis on Saturday evening. 8-12pm

Hey Fred what about Merle Record he is the Uncle of the owner of the silver Spur. he is a creat Steel player. He is also a member of the Rhode Island Steel guitar Organization and plays at their Steel Guitar Shows every year. My Wife Anna and I started the RISGA and also the NESGA> which now has 97 Members and have a Steel Guitar show Every month at the American Legion Post 15 in East Greenwich Rhode Island.The Rhode Islamd Steel Guitar Association has a Steel Guitar Show once a year with Quarterly meetings and jam at the Tiverton Rhode Island V.F.W.. Check them both out and there is plenty of Steel in each.I'm the founder of both Oganization's along with my wife Anna.

Has anyone sent out warnings to the people in Maine that Lynn and Ronnie are coming to invade?
This should be a really great show with these two.

Lynn Owsley is one of the classiest legendary steel players that are alive today. We had him at the Wisconsin show. The opportunity to bass for Don Helms and Lynn Owsley was truly a highlight for me.

If we were back in Rhode Island Anna and I would surly be there as we loved the Silver Spurr.We use to live up there in oxford maine and we use to go and hear merle Record and his Family 's band play and they are a real good band.Maybe next time if we are in the area.
