Here's a kooky cool looking cheap chic lap steel diddy-wop!

Has any one seen this sort of thing? I'm guessing Harmony made but, the surface mounted pickup deal is off the charts (tho it looks like it would be at home on a typical lap steel)

The Marvel brand was owned by Peter Sorkin, a distributor out of NYC. It was used on the cheaper instruments in Sorkin's catalog (the nicer ones were branded Premier).
This particular guitar is Model no. 8, and it originally sold for $37.50. The guitar itself was built by Kay, and the electronics appear to have been sourced from the same folks who built Electromuse. It was a Spanish model, not a lap steel. |

Since this isn't a lap steel, I'm moving it to Music. It's pretty cool that you were able to identify it that quickly, Noah. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel
