According to Steve Tressler's improvisation blog:

Quote:
Drumgenius is a game changer! This app is an encyclopedia of 400+ drum grooves to practice with--everything from Philly Joe Jones on "Bye, Bye Blackbird," to a 15/8 Dave Holland groove plus dozens of Latin American rhythms. Each groove can be tempo and pitch shifted. Here's a video demo. You can sample a few grooves for free and the full library is $8. Available for iOS and Android.

I've been using drum loops for years, but I've spent a lot of money building libraries of loops. Same principle, though, and at a bargain price.
