Ciao Flavio,

Wonderful to hear that steel guitar is alive in Italy, and also great talent like yours and your band members! Steel guitar is not usually heard in Italy although many remember the legacy of Santo and Johnny. I visit Italy often, as I have family there ( my wife is from Italy), and will be again in Sirmione, Lago di Garda first two weeks in July. Wish we could meet, I will have my steel guitar with me as I play with friends while there. Though distance is a problem!

Here is a track from a few years ago that you may relate to.

I am currently producing a CD album, "Anima", with contemporary Italian music on steel guitar, a tribute to Santo and Johnny, to be released in a few days.

I would like to hear more, you may also email me at kaydas@mac.com if you like , I speak Italian.

Complimenti !

Kay

Great stuff Flavio! I really liked the ascending run you do on "Oh Lady B Good" right around 56 seconds in.

This and your Vegan Island videos are really cool.

There's a thread in the "Steel Players" section called "How important is appearance ???", and I think your band has a good understanding of it. You even have a classic looking mic!

Thank you so much Tim for your appreciation. That run at 56 " , I let my hands go freely and I was lucky to finish on the right note Smile Smile With Vegan Island we are trying to do our best , but in Italy it is difficult at the time to complete our project . We are considering also looking abroad if there are better options.
That microphone is the Shure Super 55 , is aesthetically very beautiful but it is not as good as the old ones Smile
Grazie mille ancora
