I recently put in a Jupiter ceramic magnet 8ohm 12" speaker in my Nashville 112, and I really like it!
It might be my imagination, but it seems to have solved a harshness that I've been hearing all these years with the original speaker. In certain venues/situations the tone would just sound "not pretty" in the upper mids.
Of course, I have a hearing loss - a notch at 4khz and this colors my perception, and your mileage may vary.
In any event, I am very happy with the sound of this speaker, and the weight is a little over 7lbs. So this is another good option, and is a bit cheaper than some others.

I've been having great results with the Jupiter alnico. Once it broke in I love it for guitar and steel with my Fender tube amps. Didn't much care for the ceramic in my Fender but could imagine that it would work better in the NV 112. _________________ Dave Zirbel-

Im using 2 12" Jupiter 50w ceramics in my 1970 Fender twin….sounds great. I have the 2 original jbl d120f speakers that came with it (torn cone, and voice coil rub) that I was planning to have re-coned … but may just leave the Jupiters in it. |
