Hey all you Fender-geeks, did Leo really make quad steels before Stringmasters??

Must have been a special order custom job by Fender or a conversion I'd say.
Looks like a Custom Triple with an extra neck added on the front. You can see that the 2 necks nearest to the player are the same height. The gap where the control panel is fitted is in the place it would be in a Custom if neck one was removed.
That's the only quad I've ever seen. Wonder what happened to it?

Looks like it has some kind of pedal conversion, see the pedal rod and extra leg… maybe a Shot job.

When chatting up Eddie Rivers after a show, he mentioned that blue quad did some time with the Bob Wills band, he hinted it had some interesting history! |
