UPS delivered a Webb from Portland Or to Brooklyn, NY without a scratch. Jon Light is a happy camper now.

Hey---there have sure been some horror stories about UPS. What huge relief that this is not one. The amp was packed real well and seems to have been handled well enough too. We can breathe now.
Let me add that the title of this thread could also be "Larry Delivers". This is the second transaction I've had with Larry and I can't imagine trusting anyone more. A real pleasure. Thanks, man. |

I purchased a Twin Reverb from forumite Joey Gaskins and UPS delivered it without a scratch, an even heavier and bigger amp.
I did have him ship the tubes seperately, this is always a good idea.
BTW Joey I'm loving the amp, its my second that I leave at the practice space to cut down on lugging. |

| Larry, I am very surprised. I had so many guitars broken up by UPS that I now ship NOTHING through them. Whatever the amount of insurance or the damage, their insurance adjusters always said it wasn't adequately packed. I had something pierce a round hold completely through the guitar and they said it wasn't packaged adequate. For years now I have used the good old U.S. Post Office. I've never lost or had something damaged that was insured. And, I just insure for $50.00 because the recipient is required to sign for the item when it arrives. No more problems! ...Tom |

Wayne Link send me a package by UPS from Canada to The Netherlands with parts including telescopic legs and it came in without damage.Maybe i was lucky.

from my experience, in our area of Mississippi, UPS is the way to go. Anything I have received through FedEx was damaged or torn and it took them two to three days of calling before they could find my house. I live about 70 feet from a major state highway.
It may be different in other areas. |
