I have a TrueTone in my Emmons Legrande SD10 but find it's too noisy for recording in some situations. Prefer a smooth fat tone over super bright and cutting. Single neck, E9. Recommendations? Thanks in advance!

I put Bill Lawrence 710's in my 81 D-10 push pull for that reason. Our Friday night opry show is in a building with old bad wiring and single coil hum is too much. I have had them in the guitar for about two years and it sounds very good to me. The Emmons 108N is another great humbucker but somewhat hare to find.

I reccommend the Lace Alumitone.
