I really wanted to like the 101 but I found it to be ok for guitar and not ok for steel. There is a spike at right around 1k that may or may not play well with your guitar. Others have gotten good results. It also seems that most of the 50 watts Quilter claims are in the heavy distortion range - not so much in the clean range. I did one gig with the 101 and then sold it. After my experiences with the Fender Mustang and the Quilter 101, I'm starting to think my problem is with the sound of D class amps in general. I've gone back to tubes for good. Wake me up when the next "sounds as good as a tube amp" amp comes along. YMMV.

Tim and I have agreed to disagree on the merits of this amp. I use mine regularly for pedal steel, guitar and lap steel. That said, I need to fiddle with the EQ whenever I switch from guitar to steel. The Steelaire, which I also own, is of course more versatile, and has more EQ'ing options. There is a thread where Tim and I go back and forth, I think it's a good survey of the various pros and cons.
