Can anyone point me to tab or recordings of solos or licks using Leon McAuliffe's E13 tuning.
1 - E
2 - C#
3 - B
4 - G#
5 - F#
6 - D
7 - G#
8 - E
I'm coming up with some cool chordal stuff using from 3 to 8 strings, but have only been able to devise a handful of single note licks. I've got the head to Steel Guitar Rag down, but looking for solos. I'm using the E13 neck for the B-sections of San Antonio Rose, Roly Poly, and Walkin' After Midnight (using the C6 neck for the A-sections).
Thanks for any info!

Something I didn't notice for a while when I started playing around with E13 is that strings 1 to 4 are exactly the same as strings 2-5 of C6 at the the 4th fret (or, in my case, strings 3-6 of A6 at the 7th) |

Try Leon's Blue Guitar Stomp and see if you don't think it lays out in E13 like I did. |

Panhandle rag and Bootheel Drag both go well in Leon. 1,2,3 and 3,4,5 are the same intervals, so you can play the same thing in two positions. The hardest thing about Leon is the big skip between 7th and 6th strings, and the missing 1 in the middle. _________________ Too much junk to list... always getting more. |
