RISGA, The Rhode Island Steel Guitar Association will be holding their next quarterly meeting on June 12, 2016 from 12 noon until about 5PM.
The meeting will be held at the Tiverton VFW, Post 5392 at 134 Shove Street in Tiverton, Rhode Island.
It's pot luck so bring some food, bring a song, and bring a smile!
Being that it's between Memorial Day and Flag Day maybe we could have a patriotic theme to our selections?? Just a thought.
Hope to see you there!

I just sent out the RISGA Quarterly newsletter to everyone who has paid their dues for 2016, and for whom I have email addresses. I'll send hard copies to the folks who don't use email (I have a partial list). I may not have the full, up to date list of dues paying members, so forgive me and let me know if I missed you.

If you didn't receive your newsletter please send me a PM through SGF, or send me an email or Facebook post.

Don't forget Dobro Day at RISGA. Our next meeting will include a Dobro/resonator seminar led by our Dobro experts Tony Palmer, Peter Hart and Richie Chiasson.

Just a couple of weeks to go![/b]

President Jim Rice is in, or on his way back from St. Louis. The quarterly meeting/jam/pot luck is just two days away. Have no fear. The president will be here. If not V.P. Jo Vierra will have to fake it. Come to the Tiverton VFW and join all the fun starting at 12 noon.

Some day when we are up there I will bring my Dobro and lap Steel and I will Kick some Butt.Have a good meeting.Glad you decided to put it back in Rhode Island where it belongs. Tiverton is a nice place abd we use to go there with Al Carter and Nathalene on Saturday night When Cindy Lane and Homer had the band together with Roger Trahan on Steel. He and Manny are running close together on the Steel. Have a good time.

What a full plate meeting. 1. First we jammed in a circle led by the smooth Roger Trahan. 2. Then we had a GOOD pot luck meal around 1:30? 3. At 2pm President Jim Rice laid out plans for the October 15th steel show. His list of players for the show is getting longer. First come first serve, so contact him soon if you want to perform. I think he has a members first policy. 4. Around 3-5pm we did a Dobro Day with seven dobro pickers. Peter Hart. thanks for bringing an extra dobro for me to find out I can`t play one. Fun fun fun! The next quarterly meeting is August 28, 2016.
