Damir, could I ask a favour? I am rehabbing an MSA D12 (just the E9 for now). When I bought it it had an unknown copedant. I'm getting ready to reinstall the cranks and rods. Could you please post a photo showing a side view of the E9 cranks so I can see which holes to use and also the end plate? Much appreciated if you could take time to do this for me. Thank you sir. _________________ MSA Classic D12 project, now an SD12, my 1st PSG. Hilton pedal.

How much does this guitar weigh by itself and/or with the case? I'm looking for something lighter than my Sho Bud professional. I'm getting old & can't lift near as much as I used to and I was told by another steel player that the MSA was considerably lighter than the Sho Bud.
Thank you for your time, Ken |

Damir, I have a StageOne, that is by all practical being, is brand new. When I got it the original packing material was still in it. The person said he only tried playing it a few times gave up, I have played it several more times. I have the Mullen Discovery I got from you, but I really enjoy the StageOne. I have a new Encore on order, I was really looking toward a U-12. What are you offering. Can't promise, I bought this one after I traded you my other one. _________________ Zum U-12, Carter SDU-12, Zum Encore, Emmons S-10, Emmons D-10, Nashville 400, Two Peavey Nashville 112, Boss Katana 100, Ibanez DD700, Almost every Lesson Jeff Newman sold. This is in the price range I will be working with in February when I get my next bonus (knock on wood). I'd love to buy my first pedal steel from you because of your great reputation in the forum. Is this MSA a guitar for which replacement parts are available if needed? What makes this one a great choice for a first-timer? |

I bought a Classic D10 just like this back in the late '80's from Mack in Colorado Springs. It cost $1000 then. He said it was the best steel guitar to buy for a someone like myself when starting from an advanced guitar background.
Indeed this was great advice. Though I no longer own it, I certainly agree that it was a great guitar to start with. It is a solid, reliable guitar. This one's undercarriage is cleaner than mine was.
According to an inflation calculator: $1000 in 1988 is worth $2000 now. So, $1600 is a better deal than I got for mine.
Best Regards,
Sam |

Great deal for that guitar.
Too bad it is wrong-handed.
