I have a 1974 MSA Classic S10 that I have almost completely restored. It looks absolutely stunning iwith its green sparkle drum covering from bestdrumdeals. It sounds absolutely magnificent and pedals and levers function with unbelievable ease. Currently I have to use a shobud fretboard but am working on getting a chess piece fretboard.
I will be posting pictures of this beauty soon. I never cesae to marvel at the workmanship of thewse MSA guitars. Thirty years old and almost no sign of wear underneath.
I have a new Bill Lawrence pick up on it and it is wonderful. However, the springs under the four screws that attach the pickup must be weak or something, because the pick up sags a bit arond 10 th or 9th string position. Does anybody know were to get these long slender springs?

I've found a good selection of springs, sold individually, at my local Ace Hardware stores. You might have to cut one to size with a diagonal cutter, no big whup.

MSA with a green sparkle drum covering? Cool idea!

A good source for this type of spring is old ball point pens with the retractable point.
That "free" expansion spring has had lots of uses on psg for me over the years!
