Elderly in Lansing lists several.
Good luck if you are looking for previously owned. Patience..patience. They may come up for sale several times/year.

Thanks Howard; I was at Elderly this past Saturday, they are quiet pricy, I was hoping to save a few bucks on a used one, Jim Goins |

I suggest watching Ebay.
I just snagged a Gold Tone PBR-D Paul Beard Signature square neck with hard shell case for $650. Guitar is in mint condition w/ pickup already installed. |

Frank, you scored a good deal on the Goldtone but an actual made-in-Maryland Beard E model is a considerably more rare bird on the used market, not to mention that it's about a $3700 instrument new. _________________ Mark

A nice maple E sold here for 3200 back in January, so you never know.
Also, you might consider checking the classified at www.resohangout.com periodically. I'm not sure, you may have to join up to get the contact info etc. , but I think it's free still. |

I've had a very positive experience with Janet Davis Music buying several acoustic instruments over the years. Might be worth an email or phone call...

Quite a difference between the E and the vintage R beyond the cost.
The E is a large body guitar made from a variety of solid woods, interior is of open construction, whereas the Vintage R has a smaller body, closer to a traditional dobro and is made of laminate wood with a soundwell inside.
It's an apples-to-oranges thing. If we were talking flattop Martin guitars, the E compares more to a dreadnought where the Vintage R might be more along the lines of a 00 body. _________________ Mark |
