[img]http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1504/8464_S5002378_3.jpg[/img Hello everyone--have been trying to upload pics for years on forum..finally done it!Just purchased an old Pacific 8 string steel which has facility to raise string 2-3 5&6 but is currently disconnected--can somebody tell from these just average shots how this is done. everything appears there but i think screws which raise cams have been put back in upside down (just to store them) there maybe someone out there who has one or a booklet on how they are attached-any help would be much appreciated as my jump from 6 to 8 strings appears treacherous at present--there was a post on these steels on 11 0ct. 2014 thanks in anticipation

Looks like an interesting old guitar you have there. If it were mine, I would take it apart, clean it thoroughly, and figure out how it works on re-assembly. It can't be that complicated, I think? Oh Well

Hey, Dave. I wonder if that is the one I saw in Twang some years ago? Can't be too many of them about. Here is a discussion from back then.

Hello Guy--read your post re Adelaide store that had a Pacific...thankyou!....same model guitar---i just need the one picture showing how setup works-everything moves but as this one is setup for normal 8 string use i cannot fathom out how the 4 strings that are meant to move actually do!!! i just hope someone who owns one will see my post. The suspense is killing me! ..will post a detailed pic when the mystery is solved so everyone may understand the principle..Dave
