I am not sure where I should put this but hope it's correct.

I am selling a steel to a member from Italy who has a friend with an APO address we will use for shipping. The address does not have a state but the member says one is not needed.

Will the Post Office accept this? Are there any size and weight restrictions and if so, what are they?
Thanks,
steve

Yes the post office is very familiar with APO address. Thats a military address to a base somewhere. Stands for Army Post Office or Airforce Post Office.

Shouldn't have a problem at all.

APO stands for Army Post Office & FPO stands for Fleet Post Office. Basically they are a series of zip codes to ship to military sites around the world at domestic rates. Each zip has it's own restrictions & requires a customs form. At least that's the way it was before i retired from the USPS.

steve, the post office web site (usps.com) can answer your questions. You could try a search there for 'APO' for example. Here's some info:

https://www.usps.com/ship/apo-fpo-dpo.htm

Good luck with your project. I'm glad to see people on this forum willing to ship out of the US.
