Wow! Tom sent me the pedal without payment and told me to try it and send him a check if I liked it. I received the pedal today and the check is in the mail to Tom. All I can say is that this is the easiest to use and best sounding Dobro simulator pedal I have come across. Tom must have spent a lot of time helping to develop this great pedal. I tried it with my steel and also with my six string guitar with great results. All you have to remember is to "think Dobro" when you use it, as the proper phrasing really helps to emulate the Dobro resonator sound. Needless to say, Tom Bradshaw is the best and you owe it to yourself to check this pedal out at his website where you can hear the sound bites. Tom Bradshaw's Pedal Steel Guitar Products.

Hi, Morton, I recorded the examples for Tom and I concur. It's a fine easy-to-use pedal that gives a creditable reso sound as well as a lot of other useful tones. Super cool pedal! _________________ Stop by the Steel Store at: www.markvanallen.com

Mark, nice job on the recordings. There are not many people who will send you a pedal to try before it is paid for. Tom is exceptional. |

Fine friends all of you are. You failed to mention that I sent one of my ex-wives "on approval" and all of you returned her...and I had to pay the return postage!!!! ![Mad](images/smiles/icon_mad.gif) |

Tom,
In that instance, you need to adopt a "no return" policy! ![Whoa!](images/smiles/icon_omg.gif) |

I have to add here that Tom's pedal is the best. I couldn't be happier. Please don't send the ex-wife Tom. I already have two. |

I just happened upon this as I was thinking about an old Match-Bro I had at one time. In the last 9 months or so, I've been playing with a husband/wife singer-songwriter duo who add drums, bass and "utility" guy to make a five piece band (when the funds allow). As the utility guy, I take mandolin, my 1960 D8 Stringmaster (C6 and open D), and my tricone for reso songs. Problem is, we currently use the reso in just two songs, so on crowded stages, or at festivals where getting all your stuff on/off stage can be a hassle, dragging along the tricone is kind of a pain for just those two songs. The last couple gigs, I adapted my positions on the open D neck, and did a 'work-around' to make it work for those songs (and it works OK). However, that unique timbre and SOUND of the reso for those songs is a pretty important aural ingredient, and I've been researching a way to get that flavor on my Stringmaster with a simulator box.
I liked my Match-Bro when I had it, but I wasn't using it much at the time back in 2002, so I sold it. They're a bit pricey, too. I'm really curious about this pedal that Tom has developed with Dunlop, and Mark's examples have convinced me that need to go to Tom's page now and order one! Thanks! ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

Tom, I got a divorce, but it didn't work out. I got behind in my alimony payments and my wife reprocessed me. |
