This is from a free seminar I did at a music store in Woodstock, Ontario Canada. I thought I'd share it here just in case someone might get something out of it. Happy pickin', Dale

Paul, Tony and David, Thanks for your nice comments. I think if we all share ideas and promote this instrument, it will help keep it alive. I would love to see more younger people learning to play the pedal steel guitar. All the best, Dale

Dale, speaking of younger people taking up steel. I started teaching steel at ETSU here in E. Tennessee this semester. They're teaching bluegrass and traditional country music and this is the first time ever for pedal steel guitar being taught there and I've been asked to come back for the Fall Semester. I only have 2 students but there's already others wanting to sign up for the fall and even some for private lessons so, hopefully I'll help these young people to learn this great instrument .

Thanks Alex! Wow, thank you Don for your nice words!(I sent you a private message by the way) Tony, this is awesome what you're doing. It does my heart good to hear you're teaching this instrument to some of the younger generation. Most of the young musicians I talk to are curious and interested in the pedal steel. They just need to be opened up to the idea that the instrument can play any form of music.
