We would like to announce that we have increased the manufacture's warrantee on our new guitars from one year, to two years. We also now have extended warrantees available. Thank You for your continued support.

Del,
Thanks, a good move. But with the quality of workmanship I've seen on your guitars, I bet you don't get many warrantee claims.
I'm really looking forward to getting that new RP U-12 I bought from you. Mike says you are shipping it to me on Tuesday.

William,I couldn't agree more. I've had my Royal Precision for six months and Every time I play it I'm amazed at the quality of this fine instrument. I can easily understand how Del would have the confidence to make such an offer. |

I'll add my agreement with the above pickers, the design, machining and assembly of Mullen is superb! And the tone, pedal action and sustain are wonderful, too.
But I'm gonna post a little peeve: the D-12 I bought used, virtually mint condition, really needs, at least to suit my picky needs, gauged roller nuts, and so far Del and company have offered no solutions or 3rd party machinists who could do the job.
Any leads from Mullen users out there for guaged rollers? |

John,
I think that the Mullen Company should stand behind your Mullen D-12 in so far as helping you obtain the guaged rollers you seek. This should be irrespective of whether or not you bought it used, directly from Mullen or from a dealer on the planet Zorg.
If I ever manufactured an "Ives Steel Guitar" I would insure customer satisfaction by whatever reasonable means necessary. It is in everybody's best interest, is it not?

What a great deal - best one around IMHO!
Of all the Mullen guitars I've owned (7 total) I've never needed a warantee, they never break down. And if they did, there is no doubt, Mullen Guitars would stand behind them, that's just the kind of people Del & Dixie are. That's why I play them now, just my .02 worth!

Thank You all for your great comments. Our goal is to provide you with the best guitar possible, and the greatest level of customer service and support we can offer.
As far as the comments on the guaged rollers, it is not something that we offer, and since we do all of our own machining we do not have any other machinest we can recommend. I do hope this is something we may be able to offer in the future and when we do we will surely let you know. Until then I have been looking around to get them made.
Thank You again for all your support.

I have a U12 I received in January. I set it up and it was exactly as I ordered it. I touched up the tuning and away I went.
I called Mike about gauged rollers and since they do not machine gauged rollers, I ordered a full set of standard rollers and machined them myself. It did not take longer than maybe 3 days to receive the rollers from Mike.
I also ordered another pedal "train" and again no more than 3 days delivery. Very good service and an excellent sounding steel.
Keep up the good work.

Well, I can only guess that Mr Mullen has realised that there usually aren't any warrantee claims, and is just hawking that extended warrantee because he knows that people tend to believe that something can and will go wrong...
He's not going to lose either way
(warrantee humor)
Seriously though, I can't say I've ever heard a discouraging word on these fine guitars.
Seeing as how my PIII has lasted 25 years with regular care and maintenance, like cleaning, adjustment, and new pickups, I imagine my Marrs rebuild of the other one I've had for 20, will put me out there a ways before I need another one.
We'll see. Things can change.
There can't be too many guitars that like Mullens' qualify for "Fine Instrument" status out here.
The More the Merrier.

Every Mullen I have ever seen, felt like an extremely well built PSG. It is also one of the prettiest PSG's. It has always had the smoothest pedal and knee lever action I have tried. I love to engage its pedals and knee levers. NO guitar I have ever sat down to feels as good as the Mullen to me.
I do hope however, Del will offer perfectly gauged roller sets soon. IMO, gauged rollers that leave the tops of all strings perfectly coplanar flat is the single greatest need since the steel guitar was invented.
The reason for this is, I know of no other instrument that is subject to a built-in problem that accompanies a pefectly flat steel bar. As such, the incessant and continued "rattle" problem at the lower frets should have been solved long ago.
NO PSG manufacturer will ever receive a dime from me again until I am satisified in this life-long "pet peave". 6 Pedal steel guitars and 6 lap steel guitars of different manufacturers in my life; and NOT one did not have the problem. And even being sent yet another set of "gauged rollers" did not help one bit. Some were worse.
I hope and pray that this problem will be tackled and solved once and for all soon, in the world of steel guitar.

I've had my Mullen steel for a good many years now and it has been great. I travel over 30,000 miles a year with it and the road vibration dosen't seem to bother it at all. I am completely satisfied with it . and the tone is just great. Buck Grantham I think (extended warrenty is a great idea too) |

I have some wonderful and promising good news for all Mullen players: Del is working with Bill Stroud of BJS Bars to come up with gauged roller nuts. I'm sending Bill my D12 string gauges, and when he gets in the stock rollers, he'll customize them to my needs.
I'm VERY excited about this, as the bit of bar chatter from stock nuts has been my only quibble, everything else about the Mullen is wonderful and amazing. They have gorgeous tone, and the build quality is impeccable. Everything fits perfectly, plays perfectly. And I will also agree that Mike and Del have been very responsive to my questions, needs and suggestions, always promptly answering emails and taking my phone calls.
Del, I'm delighted to recommend Mullen to my friends and students, your new $100 referral bonus program only sweetens the pleasure of recommending a fabulous pedal steel guitar. Keep up the good work! |

He practically does! He just started making, due to popular demand, a 15/16-inch diameter bar, and several famous players swear by them now, I think Hughey, Rugg, others whose names I'm forgetting now. They thought 1-inch was too big, 7/8-inch was too small, but 15-16 was JUST RIGHT! Contact Bill Stroud for details, he's a great guy and I sure love his bars.
