Here's East Lonesome Drifters playing our favourite Willie Nelson LP in London last Sunday. I didn't get everything dead perfect but I hope we got some of the feel. Let me know what you think of the show, we had a total blast doing it (although you might be able to tell we were pretty nervous!) Smile

Very Very nice. I was one of the engineers involved in the Nugget Studio version which Wexler did not like at first but was later released.

Your band is great and I am sure that Johnny Gimble is looking down from heaven and smiling at your very talented fiddle player.

Mark, that's high praise indeed, her name's Chance Kellner, she worked really hard to nail Johnny's solo on Sister's Coming Home in particular.

We listened to the Nugget sessions when we were preparing for the show (on the Complete Atlantic box I think), they were a big reason why we included more female vocals so the influence is there. Thanks for your comment, it really means a lot.

Jonathan,

We should skype some time and I will tell you the whole story of those sessions. It was interesting to say the least.

Thanks for the comments guys, it was a total labour of love and a huge learning experience for me. I hope we get to do it again some time.
