Hey gang...
I've got a Music Man HD 2-10 130...
I'm considering building another combo cab,
with a 1-15' spkr.
I will then have the option of the smaller 2-10 combo
or the 1-15 Combo, simply by pulling the chassis.
Does anyone have the dimensions for the HD 130 1-15'.?
Thank you.

According to the JBL Spkr. web sight, a 15' spkr. needs almost 4cu. ft. of air space in a closed back cab. But in an open back or combo amp, I don't think it's that critical. If it were me, I would build a separate cab. for the head and spkr., it's what I did with my Twin Reverb. Recently, I bought (2) JBL-D140's in a old Sunn Bass cab. and have used it at some outdoor gigs this summer with a Twin head. I'm seriously considering splitting it up cause that big cab. is just to heavy and bulky. But it does sound really good. When I do build these cabs., I'll size them 2" bigger on each side, top, and bottom of the spkr, and the depth of 1"x 12" pine board. And have them open back. Call me when you're in town and you can come out to the house and look at the Twin, see what I did to it and get some ideas. |

You can also port the fronts of the cab to keep the size down. The Tommy Huff cab I had was the same footprint asas a Peavey LTD. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
