Well let me say this about that. After much research on the internet AND on this Forum, I decided to get the Peterson VS-II tuner to replace my 21 year old Korg (originally bought from Sho-Bud).
Without a doubt, this is some of the best money I've ever spent on my guitar. In just a few minutes of opening the box, I had tuned all pedals and knees to the E9th temperments and the ol' Black LeGrande sounded sweet! The chords were tight, and there was none of the "needle flitters or jumps" I had cussed at so many times with the old Korg.
FWIW, I think the VS-II is great! Even though many times I'll tune by ear for practice purposes, in high noise environments that is impossible, but now with the VS-II, it's all a snap and I think the tuning is tighter than what I've personnaly been able to get before (too many years around noisy radar transmitters and flying on cargo planes).
Just a little of my $0.02 worth.
Thanks to b0b for this wonderful forum that was such an invaluble source of historical and solicited information and to the super folks that posted their thoughts, views and opinions on the VS-II and other topics over the years.
Have a great day.
