LAST SATURDAY I HAD THE WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE OF HEARING BOB TUTTLE PLAYING ONE OF THE NEW RAINS STEEL GUITARS. BOB IS A GREAT PLAYER AND THE TONE COMING FROM THE RAINS WAS SOMETHING TO HERE. THE UNDERCARRIAGE WAS VERY CLEAN AND WELL PUT TOGETHER. BOB WAS BACKING CURTIS POTTER OVER IN CLOVIS, N.M. GARY BEAVERS WAS THERE AS WELL. AND I MUST SAY HIS CARTER S12U SOUNDED GREAT. IF YOU GET A CHANCE TO HEAR BOB AND THE RAINS STEEL, GO FOR IT. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

Thanks for the kind words, Baxter. I enjoy working with Curtis, and I had a great time backing up Johnny Rodriguez. I'm glad we got a chance to visit between shows.

You're right about the Rains guitar. It sounds great and is very well built, with a lot of attention to details. The one I was playing in Clovis is Bobby Rains' personal demo guitar. Hopefully, I'll have my new one around the middle of August.
